AnimeCon is Heaven for anyone who loves the world of Asian culture. A three-day show filled with loads of Anime, Manga JPop, KPop, film, shopping, fashion, live concerts, guest appearances and loads, loads more.
Is AnimeCon part of any other Comic Con, or Anime event in the UK?
No. AnimeCon is its own event entirely and has been 2 years in the making. It is not part of any NEC Comic Con, nor is it connected to the organisers of London Comic Con or any small regional events.
How is the show structured? Can I leave early? Will I be able to come back into the event if I leave?
Visitors may arrive and leave anytime if they have their wristband on. There are lots of restaurants and cafes at The NEC so feel free to leave the show for a snack or lunch. You are also free to bring your own refreshments into the show but no alcohol.
Will I still have to queue to enter the show even though I’ve purchased my tickets online in advance?
If you have purchased advance tickets to the show, you will not have to queue at the box office to purchase tickets, but you may have to join the entrance queue… Don’t worry we will try are hardest to get you in as soon as possible. At this point, we cannot guarantee that there will be ticket available on the day but keep refreshing this website closer to the show to check availability.

We are traveling from a distance and want to stay overnight. Where should I stay?
We have partnered with several hotels near the venue that offers a family-friendly overnight package.
Will there be places to eat inside the event?
Within the NEC, there are lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. We have concessions within the show too.
How accessible is the event for those with special needs?
AnimeCon offers an assortment of interactive activities that reach all learning styles and levels of interest. For those who need it, there is Disabled parking close to the entrance of the venue and the show is all on one level making it easy for wheelchair access; consult the venue website for details. Seating areas are located throughout the event space for your convenience. All visitors, including those in wheelchairs and those with special needs, will find AnimeCon to be a fun, enriching and educational experience. Guide dogs for the blind and service dogs for people with disabilities are welcome.
May my child attend the event without an adult?
For everyone’s safety, children and individuals under the age of 16 must be always supervised by an accompanying adult during their visit.
Are there cloakroom/changing facilitates at the NEC for Cosplayers?
There are cloakroom facilities in the venue and we are working to arrange private changing for those who need it.
Can I smoke, vape in the event?
No. There are areas outside the halls where you can smoke or vape.
Can I pay by credit card at the door?
If there are tickets available (keep checking the box office site) we accept credit cards at the door… There are several cash machines in various locations around the NEC.
Are dogs allowed into the show?
Only guide dogs are allowed in the show.
Having my picture taken at the event?
Visitors and participants grant their permission to be photographed or recorded by the Organising team members, partners, and exhibitors. By entering you inherently grant The Organisers, its partners, and exhibitors permission to use such images or footage for archival or promotional purposes without compensation or acknowledgment.
